Ajay Devgn's _Drishyam 3: The Conclusion_ has had a huge start. The Hindi crime thriller opened on Friday, October 2, 2026, the Gandhi Jayanti holiday, and crossed ₹300 crore in worldwide gross collections in its first four days, according to figures from trade tracker Sacnilk reported by Outlook and The Week.

The opening numbers

  • Day 1 (Friday, October 2): ₹62 crore net in India
  • Day 2 (Saturday): ₹53.5 crore
  • Day 3 (Sunday): about ₹61 crore
  • Day 4 (Monday): ₹21 crore

After four days the film had:

  • ₹197.5 crore net in India (₹237 crore gross);
  • ₹66 crore gross overseas;
  • about ₹303 crore gross worldwide.

The ₹62 crore opening is reported to be the biggest of Ajay Devgn's career. Outlook noted that it beat the openings of other franchise films such as _Tiger 3_ and Devgn's own _Singham Again_.

The Day 4 figure fell about 66% from Sunday, which is normal for a Monday after a holiday weekend. What matters now is how well the film holds through its second week. The most recent full figures we could verify stop at Day 4; later collections will be higher.

Why the franchise is so strong

_Drishyam_ began as a Malayalam film starring Mohanlal and became one of Indian cinema's most remade stories. The Hindi films, starring Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, the cable operator who will do anything to protect his family, have built a loyal audience over two earlier instalments. The "Conclusion" tag, promising an ending, adds to the curiosity.

Net vs gross, explained

Box office reports mix "net" and "gross" figures, which can be confusing. Gross is the total ticket sales; net is what remains after GST. Read our explainer on how box office collections are calculated.
