Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027: Moschino's New Duo, Demna's Second Gucci and a New Era at Armani
Sunnei's founders made the season's only creative-director debut, while Gucci, Fendi and Marni presented second collections under their new designers.

Milan Fashion Week for spring/summer 2027 ran from September 22 to 28, 2026, with 54 physical shows and six digital presentations on the official calendar. Prada opened the week, and the Giorgio Armani show on September 27 was billed as the closing show, according to Outlook Luxe. It was a week of second chapters: several houses that changed designers in the past year showed their follow-up collections, and only one house unveiled a brand-new creative director.
The only debut: Moschino
Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo, the founders of the Milan label Sunnei, presented their first collection as co-creative directors of Moschino on September 25. Outlook Luxe described it as the week's only major creative-director debut. The pair replace Adrian Appiolaza, who left Moschino in June. Moschino has built its identity on wit and pop references, so the industry was watching to see how a duo known for a more conceptual, playful approach would interpret it.
Second collections
- Gucci: Demna showed his second ready-to-wear collection for the house on September 25. The set was a supersized Gucci store, complete with racks and counters, with models browsing and "shopping" as they walked.
- Fendi: Maria Grazia Chiuri presented her second Fendi collection on September 23, after her debut in February. It drew on Italian pop icon Raffaella Carrà, with lingerie details and lace.
- Marni: Meryll Rogge showed her second collection on September 24, following Francesco Risso's departure.
- Bottega Veneta: Louise Trotter presented her third collection on September 26. Twisted fishnet footwear was one of the talking points.
Armani in transition
Giorgio Armani died in 2025, and this season marked another step in the house's transition. The Emporio Armani show on September 24 was the last under Silvana Armani and Leo Dell'Orco before Dario Vitale takes over creative direction of the line. The Giorgio Armani show, which closed the week on September 27, included liquid tuxedo dresses, metallic bustiers and embroidered eveningwear.
Who was missing
Versace was absent from the calendar for a second consecutive season. Pieter Mulier's debut for the house is expected in February 2027.
Other moments worth knowing
These details are drawn from W Magazine's recap of the week.
- Prada: Alongside the show, the house's newly expanded, eight-storey store in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II hosts the Pradasphere exhibition, including the final look from Miuccia Prada's first ready-to-wear collection in 1988. The spring 2027 collection by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons focused on skirts.
- Jil Sander: Simone Bellotti paired precise tailoring with unexpected colour combinations, such as grey with butter yellow and tan with saturated pink.
- Ferragamo: Maximilian Davis closed his show with a gown inspired by the solarisation experiments of photographers Lee Miller and Man Ray.
- Loro Piana: The brand presented among the books of Milan's Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense, with a hat on almost every look.
